Tell me where to scratch

My dear old dad has been plagued for some years with an intermittent rash.

It flares up with no rhyme or reason, subsides, comes back with a vengeance.

I have tried to suggest things that could cause it or help (things that suit me to be honest), to no avail.

He has seen various dermatologists over the years, they have nothing…

So, I booked him to see a local lass who has helped my lovely man and who is highly regarded.

She had some interesting theories and suggestions, sent him on his way with meds, lotions and advice and asked him to come back in two weeks.

‘I’m only booking you in for 10 minutes’, she advised, ‘just a quick check in’.

When we were making our plans for the next trip, I reminded my dad that it’s just a quick appointment.

‘She thinks so’, he replied, ‘she’s not accounting for how much I’ve got to say’.

So… The next time you are sitting in a doctor’s room, fuming about how late they are running, look around for my dad.
